Inherent Meaning of Colors- Picking the right color scheme for a design

When it comes to any design project, picking the right color scheme can be the most frustrating exercise. The slightest adjustment in tint, brightness, and more can sometimes drastically change the emotion a design exudes. Not only that, but each color may have an inherent meaning to different cultures and random individuals.

While there is never an exact science, nor an art to selecting the perfect color palette for a design, it always helps to know what many cultures may think when presented with a particular color. The attached image from InformationIsBeautiful.net does a great job of summarizing how different peoples react to different colors.

When writing custom jQuery scripts that fire on page load, it's always good practice to call jQuery.noConflict() before the document ready function.

Setting up Balsamiq Mockups on Fedora 15 is not as easy as on Debian distributions of Linux. If only installing software on Fedora could be as quick and easy as on a Mac.
